Mr. Everson was born and raised in San Francisco, California. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, he spent 3 ½ years as an active duty Marine Corps officer.
He obtained his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in 1977.
Following law school he was employed as a Deputy District Attorney in San Mateo County.
He has for the last 35 years defended physicians and hospitals in medical malpractice and elder/dependent adult abuse cases and has represented physicians before the California Medical Board. He has also represented corporations in complex products liability actions.
He has tried to verdict lawsuits before juries in 17 different counties throughout Northern and Central California. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and is board certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
He has been listed as a Northern California Super Lawyer by San Francisco Magazine since 2005 and has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America.
